Curran Court Hotel

Attended a birthday party in the conference room which was cold had to be asked to turn the heating on. Starter would have been nice hot but was lukewarm, Maincourse bland with frozen vegetables tasteless. The sweet was the best part of the meal. Not sure the distance between kitchen and the conference room is but feel this didn't help with the temperature of the meal. Disappointing experience.

Don't usually leave reviews, but feel on this occasion it might be needed, only as a help, didn't stay in the hotel as I live locally, my wife wanted to go out for a meal, and we decided from previous meals there we would go to the Curran Court, I had 10oz Steak and the wife had Chicken, Chicken was OK, Steak was cooked to spec but was blan, not seasoned through cooking process. Potatoes and chips grand, vegetables blan un-seasoned through cooking, Brussels sprouts where off! the 6 small slices of carrot where lovely! Poor choice of starters lots of chicken wing dishes! Nothing fresh and exciting, 4 sweets on offer where basic standard desserts, no ice cream or custard acumploments on offer, menu I'm afraid to say was really a overpriced Cafe menu, and when it's white vinegar on the table you know its not going to be up to much, I make no apologise unfortunately to say it was very much a let down, Staff, setting, cleanliness was of a Great standard, but the main attraction of the Curran Court was always its food, now so disappointing.

Went for dinner in Katy Jane's bar as the restaurant wasn't open and it was beautiful, it's been a while since we've been to the Curran Court; it's changed a bit but looks lovely and the same friendly staff are there. The food was really tasty and I was able to swap out peas for some other veg with no issue. Food arrived fast and was cooked to perfection. My hubby had some cheesecake for dessert and loved it, I wasn't a fan but that's only because of flavour preferences. I highly recommend Curran Court for food, I have never stayed over but I'd say it'd be a lovely place to stay considering how good the staff are.
